Exploring and learning

Lovely, full day out with my son today exploring our new town centre, Newcastle under Lyme. Did a bit of shopping. Had a bit of lunch. Just good to get a feel for where things are. I was very pleasantly surprised. There's a bit of everything there. And tonnes of charity shops. Glad about that as I'm a bit obsessed with buying children's books from them for my son!

All followed by a quick stop at Brampton Park. I've been once before after reading about it on the internet but no-one I know in Stoke seems to know about it. The Brampton's only a little place really but there's enough to pass an hour or two there, like the very friendly cafe, kids indoor play area, museum, gardens, gallery and aviary... and come the Summer there's even a sandpit (more a snow pit at the moment of course!) outdoor play area and little kids train.
