Greenfinch on a twig
We are lucky to get several greenfinches in the garden and have a pair visiting regularly. They are quite nervy so fly off if they see any movement. It’s interesting to see all the different shaped beaks adapted for each birds diet. The goldfinch has a much slender beak ideal for digging deep into thistles and teasels to get to the seeds.
Mike was away early as he’s catching the buses to the airport and then down South.A lovely sunrise and plenty of snow on the mountain tops.Caught up on the housework and gardening, put some of the Brownie photos up on the Brownie page and then had a meeting about Camp Brave in the evening.
