Chess

I've been fascinated with this game since the famous 1970's encounter with Boris Spasky and the other fella in Iceland.I remember reading about the two players pampered requests for special chairs and strange exotic foods to eat, prior and during the games.
Chess, It's Indian name being chatura?ga, which translates as "four divisions [of the military]": infantry, cavalry, elephants, and chariotry, represented by the pieces that would evolve into the modern pawn, knight, bishop, and rook, respectively. In Sassanid Persia around 600 the name became chatrang.
