Cuppa in the summerhouse.
Stephen had an appointment at the Treatment Centre this afternoon to see the Critical Care nurses.
They were touchingly so pleased to find him looking so much better.
And as one of them said
“It’s good to see you with your clothes on”!
But they told him how well he is doing having checked him out.
I have all but lost my voice. People always find it funny when that happens!
Dosing myself up with Throat pastilles, which actually help.
Our friend Geoff once again took us there and then brought us back afterwards.
It was warm enough in the (unheated) summerhouse to sit and have a cup of tea and a piece of Banana bread that the friend who does our shopping at the moment, made for us. Yummy as it’s made with lemon as well and then coated in lemon drizzle.
Stephen has to eat puddings and cake ( an order from the nurses!) with or between meals, in order to eventually regain the stone or so he has lost because of his operation.
I, however, will not be eating loads of it or I will balloon!! Ha ha!
Good to see the sunshine even though the wind is cold and fresh to strong.
And the robin is busy rebuilding his nest on our porch wall.
I tried to capture him in a photo this morning as he sat in the climbing hydrangea with his beak filled with moss and a few of last autumn’s leaves.
Maybe tomorrow.........
