Notes: Hardly slept at all tho kept trying. Finally at 130a, I decided 3 hrs of laying there awake & coughing could be better spent by getting some of the miles behind me. I pulled out 1:45a PST. Wicked wind all day, tumbleweeds early caught underneath and I had to finally stop and pull one out from the middle of the undercarriage. Long day with bouts of extreme sleepiness. Traffic thru Phoenix re-routed me around and ended up going to Flagstaff to catch I-40 east - was nicer than going thru those AZ mtns and weird park area again. Talked to Steve and mom on the phone which helped. Pulled into the hotel in Gallup at 1p (MST), just 10 hrs 15min with stop for gas and egg muffin later. Had to take a short nap, which helped a little. Got a shower, dinner and to bed early.
