I think...

..these are old boxes for collecting the offertory, as I saw them hanging in a corridor at Morningside Parish Church in Edinburgh tonight, where I was speaking to a packed house of 200 about Brexit, independence, Europe and lots of other things.

But if anyone knows better, or more , about these items that caught my eye, I would be glad to hear it.

I just liked the shapes and the wood - and of course the wee bit of ecclesiastical history.
