I cheated.

I did quite a bit of the cooking, latterly; but certain jobs were Alice's.  For instance I never made an omelette all my life, until after 5th Dec 2016, likewise Pancakes.  We didn't only make them an annual event though; we quite often had them as a savoury meal.  I will, eventually, make some, but today I found some Pancakey looking things in the freezers - last few Staffordshire Oatcakes.
