Off for our usual walk by the Abbey. Parked by the hotel but our stroll through the grounds not as pleasant as usual as there are 2 diggers there and it looks like major surgery is planned. Lots of shrubs have been removed and the area beneath many trees has been cleared. It looks like the plan to extend the car park is going ahead. 
The path down to the ruins has been half washed away, eroded by the heavy rain which must have poured down there It is now very uneven with deep gullies. The road round by the abbey had large puddles too. So we didnt walk too far.
My blip is of the back of the old Abbey Tavern. Once a thriving pub and restaurant it has been closed for many years and although it was bought by English Heritage it has been left to grow derelict... as seen by the budleia growing halfway  up the wall.
