Another Angle

Today I decided the ice was thick enough to brave walking out on the lake. After all there were plenty of people out on the ice with a lot more weight than me. Still I didn't venture out too far just in case.

I bracketed this shot because of the dynamic range, but in the end worked from just one image. I don't think it's too bad, but I'm not terribly satisfied with the outcome.

I don't much like shots into the sun anyway. The bright spot draws all the attention and the eye doesn't explore the rest of the image. But here, the light is subdued by the clouds and the sun somewhat obscured. I keep trying anyway!
