Very good day, made so by the people. Had lunch with my old colleague DC who is a bit of a comic. Very pleasurable two hours of catching up. Bit of domestic duty in the afternoon - literally a whole carful of cardboard to go the the dump from our IKEA delivery. A very professional and courteous duo - one Romanian and one Pole - turned up on time and efficiently assembled new bedroom furniture for us. The kind of people Boris Johnson wants to keep out of the country...
TSM cracked on with filling new furniture with clothes. And rather naughtily did some work including yet another coronavirus teleconference despite being on a day off...
Mr Bear, Strider, The Dizzle and I went to the pub for a couple of hours early evening then came back and ate pasta and pancakes. Not at the same time of course you’d be sick. And yes I know pancake day is tomorrow. Call it a rehearsal.
Mr Bear has been excellent company. Highly therapeutic, been a while. Must do it more often. Listening to him, Strider and The Dizzle discussing politics was also intellectually stimulating. Life really is all about the company you keep...
