Survived da Gales

It's been a fine day, mostly cloudy and fairly dull, but fairly calm.  There has been some wintery showers this evening.

I had the morning off work, and slept longer than planned!  I headed down to sister Laura's by noon, and she made lunch.  The afternoon was in the museum, it was for Child and adult Protection training.  My early shift in the pub, and watched the Liverpool match, which big bro Jonny was at tonight.  Walkies with Sammy, and avoided the showers, now feet are up by the fire.

It has felt like we've been battered by gales this whole year so far, and everything has taken a battering.  I planted these pine trees a few years ago, and they are coming on good, and glad to see they have stood up to the winds.  They'll surely be getting big roots, before standing tall in the Shetland weather.  Taken at Aith, Cunningsburgh.
