First deer in the wood!

Wet & windy overnight until early afternoon .... then the sun came out! Yay!

We decided to walk up to Pioneer & Beech Wood to make the most of the sunshine ...... not seen it much lately!  :-)

It's fair to say it was a decidedly bracing & blustery walk ..... the wind was still gusting strongly ...... in fact I was struggling to keep in a straight line!

As we approached the wood Hubby said "there's a deer"! Got the camera ready & took this shot ..... it stayed beautifully still for me!

A little further on we came across this fox ...... it too posed very nicely for me!

We actually discovered several of these wood carvings ...... as well as the two blipped there was an owl, a hare & a badger! Someone has been busy .... very talented they are too :-)

Good thing these were here as everything else was blowing around like mad ..... not easy to photograph!

The Extra is the beautiful blue sky .... thought I'd put it up as a reminder of what that looks like :-)
