Isaac and I made apple oatmeal cookies ready for the unstoppable after-school appetites of Eve and Zeke. Isaac is quite a good sous-chef but doesn’t believe in letting anyone else hold the spoon. This is challenging when he has the sort of coordination you’d expect for his age - but he clearly thinks he’s the next Nigella.

Grateful for a lot of hugs from Isaac who is clearly happy that his siblings are back at school, the prospect of chicken pie for tea, my current read gripping me.
