Gerntal

That old mountain problem - changing weather.  You start the day in full water proofs, hat and scarf - and by mid afternoon you're sun-bathing in a t-shirt.

Today's walk was from a wet (dreich is the word) Pertisau into Gerntal - with a coffee stop at Pletzach Alm, and a lunch stop at the top of the valley at Gern Alm.  Can't really explain how the weather was transformed by a couple of bowls of soup at Gern Alm - but the transformation was spectacular. Highly recommended.

Strudel of the Day: NO STRUDEL (but other cakes were consumed)
