A little splash of colour

Finally a spot of blue sky! It didn't last long mind you. Back to threatening whitish-grey for most of the day. When I set off on the school run this morning I was chuntering for most of the journey about the fantastic sunrise that I was missing - in between dodging the broken down cars which had skidded off the icy/snowy main A road that is. It was a lovely red sky, and I am sure would have looked lovely from the Mere - but sadly just not possible to blip!
It was -6 degrees last night and didn't warm up much all day. However, after a successful raid on the B&Q rock salt supplies I feel safer getting on and off the drive. I wish the same could be said for the school approach road though...
