High Contrast

Middle of the day shot on a sunny day, so no surprises that the contrast range was high. I had to do quite a bit of recovery work in Lightroom to be able to see into the shadows which were blocked up when I began editing.

I tried to play on the warm highlights in the sun against the cool shadows that were reflecting the blue sky above. I found the tricky part was to keep the snow looking white and natural.

I do like the wispy bits of grass sticking out of the snow.
