Slightly White

After packing up this morning we had about an hour to kill before our booking for lunch - so we headed up the hill, above the snow line.
It was 'interesting' weather.
Blowing a gale with blizzard conditions passing through and temperatures that caused numbness in exposed fingers within seconds.
It didn't stop No1 son and I trying to get some pictures of 'weather' (they start Here).


It was then back down into the relative warmth of Alston and the lovely warm hotel for lunch. An excellent lunch with great staff and atmosphere, followed by parting kisses.

After that SWMBO and I headed up to the Llama Karma Café outside Penrith to have a coffee and chat with Clickychick and Jerra. Two hours later we said our goodbyes and headed north and home. We expected more snow and gales but had none of it which came as a pleasant surprise and made for an uneventful trip.
