The accidental finding

A month in the country, a day in bed

I finally woke about nine today. It took me two hours to have a bath, change the sheets with Steve's help, play with Bomble, make some toast, and go back to bed. Then there was the washing...

The afternoon concert in Nailsworth this afternoon was a Mozart session. I'd been looking forward to it, and the tea afterwards, but decided I couldn't face the church seating, and the conversation with my fellow attenders. So I cancelled, and stayed in bed, and slept a lot, and finished reading Motherwell by Deborah Orr, (a tough read, despite what the critics say ) and started on A month in the country by JL Carr, (1980), which I need to read for a WEA course. My Quince Tree Press edition has beautiful illustrations and engravings throughout. Annoyingly, I can't find a mention of the creator of the Knight that makes up today's blip.

As for feeling better, hmm. I'm still sweating and not attempting much physically because I'm weak, but feeling possessed of great emotional feebleness and little in the way of mind power. No TV today so far, though I have watched some YouTube videos authored by an extremely fat man arguing with his parents about the cause of his weight. You get the idea...
