Warblington Castle
We went for lunch and a walk around Langstone Harbour today and decided to check out the castle-like building in the distance. Turns out it’s Warblington Castle, or rather its one remaining turret, the rest having been knocked down by Parliamentarians in the English Civil War. They left one turret so ships in the Langstone channel could use it for navigation.
Next door is a field where there have been Cattle Egrets visiting. Today, however, although there were plenty of cattle there was only a bunch of Little Egrets (and another group in a field near the mill).
