Necessary Job

About a year ago our sewage system filled up because of a blockage between two inspection chambers.  I don't know what caused it (although the fall on our sewage pipes is pretty shallow) but it cost £100 to get it resolved quickly – not a job I fancied, even if I had had the appropriate kit.

So once a month I now remove the cover you see in the background and use rainwater in watering cans to flush the system.  It should prevent our having a full chamber again . . .
