Tom and I went to Mr Bowns to peruse the papers and drink coffee. It's been quite cold and wet again here this morning and I was glad to get out on a walk around Birdoswald Roman Fort. You can just see Hadrians Wall to the left of the photo.

Charlotte phoned last night very upset after hearing one of her close, horse riding friends had died suddenly (Saturday), she was only 24. I had met this beautiful young lady at various Uni Equestrian events over the last 5 years, such a sad loss of life. Fortunately James was with Charlotte so he was able to comfort her. 
Live for today, eat the cake, buy the shoes etc.......etc........
