Tenerife Day 31

What a difference a day makes.....

I was woken this morning by some loud rattling and banging, and found we were experiencing a tremendous sand storm. I nearly lost the corner drop down roller blind on the balcony, as gale force winds had loosened the plastic fittings securing it to the wall! I called on little Maureen next door for assistance, she was still in bed!! Together, with me hanging onto it for dear life, and her winding it up with the pole, we made it safe!!
It's still blowing a gale, very few people about, not seen any ferries, and goodness knows how, or if, planes are flying.... certainly wouldn't want to be on one today! The view today is just a haze, and dark...like an apocalypse!!
