I’m just thankful that they’re recognisable!

Today is the 9th anniversary of the dreadful quakes Christchurch suffered on February 22 2011, when 185 people were killed, countless others injured, and thousands of buildings either damaged or destroyed. Christchurch has moved on in many respects but the thing that I struggle with is that many people are still out of their homes, because of bureaucracy. My lovely 90 year old neighbour suicided just before Christmas, because once again a major stupid mistake had been made to her house. It was actually being repaired. She simply couldn’t take any more. It’s an utter shame and has deeply saddened our small street on Clifton Hill.
