Top Chapel
This was taken through the car windscreen at 9:30am. Top Chapel at Charlesworth from Monks Road - That's Manchester in the background.
The wind blowing straight at me gusting about 50mph - my estimate for when its too much like hard work to open the car door against it.
It's been a grim grey week. We have all been a bit poorly which is not so bad if we take turns but not good when its all at once. I had to be brave and go out and do the shopping. I successfully bought a whole chicken , a Beef Lasagne Ready Meal and a risky Luxury Fish Pie ( which turned out to be a success) . Not bad for someone who has never eaten any of these things in my life. I did forget to buy myself much to eat but did get

The Weekend edition of the Yorkshire Post - I recommend listening to the Editor on this week's BBC Radio4 Media Show - he is someone trying to get his reporters to investigate, check facts and present unbiased analysis and let the reader decide what they think is happening. Not a lot of that about. PLUS the paper has a Country Week supplement with good columns by regular contributors on Wildlife, Farming ( what its like living on that farm that is between the carriageways of the M62 ) etc.

Listened to 5Live Football commentry and all the Video Assistance Referee rubbish - "Sucking the life out of the game" - Chris Wilder Sheff United manager describes it
Tried to watch some of Leicester v Man City but was distracted by City's amazing new kit - they looked like the wrapper for a Walls Solero Exotic Ice cream. and then there was more VAR - one penalty not given and then one given but not easy spot any difference.
