In transit to Berlin

Long day.

After an early breakfast, we dropped our luggage in another flat that we were being lent for the day, and then walked to the university to drop the bag-that-stays-in-Tampere. I stayed for the NSR meeting and Mr A headed off.

After the meeting - which was sparsely attended but quite useful - I did a bit more work in the office, and then headed back to collect Mr A and the luggage and we went down to the station to catch the train to the airport. I got my blip waiting around in the rather bare Terminal 1 for the Easyjet counter to open so we could drop our bag.

All went smoothly and we were in a taxi to Neukölln, with our luggage, within half an hour of landing. Vive the Schengen zone.

The AirBnb is quite stylish, and the owners are obviously hippies and radicals from the various bits and pieces around about the peace movement and marches for refugees, etc. The wife seems to be a therapist of some sort, and we think the husband must be the artist responsible for some stunning and interesting artwork on the walls, much of it depicting musicians.

We collapsed into bed, but in retrospect it might have been a better idea to go out and do a bit of shopping for the morning in order to walk the journey out of our legs.
