Are we silly?

This morning we visited our local shopping centre, one of the items on the list was darning wool so that Mrs J could mend a sock which was wearing a bit thin in one spot.
No market stalls or shops seem to stock this now. Are we silly to think of repairing things instead of buying new? I think we must be.
Anyway it gave me an idea for a silly Saturday Blip.
