My Geisha
My Father gave me this beautiful doll when I was a child, she is about a foot tall, I recently brought her here from my Mother's house and now I have installed her in our bedroom.
My Father used to travel on business a lot when I was a child and one of the places he went quite often was Japan, I can remember being fascinated by it as a child, he bought me some silk paintings and fans as well as this doll and I used to study them for hours, I have many dolls from his travels but this is my favourite.
I have been lucky enough to go to Tokyo (singing backing vocals for Belinda Carlilse), I was only there for 4 days but visited a market, the incredible Asakusa Temple, got the tube, walked around, ate out as well as attending amazing sushi banquets from the Record Company with Belinda, the rest of the band and management, most of the band weren't at all interested in sight seeing (something I don't understand, I always see something when I'm working away) but the guitarist Keith Airey was up for it and we had an amazing time looking around, it's somewhere I would love to return to one day.
I am not at all well (hideous cough) and have spent the day in bed watching memoirs of a Geisha again, what a lovely movie.
I see I hit a nerve with yesterday's blip on cyber bullying, I'm happy to say that the tweet has been removed and the person apologised, when I can speak again without coughing I'll have a proper chat with Zebedee about it all, thank you for all your kind words, moving stories, help and advice
xx
