St Enochs Square Glasgow

the imposing building to the right is the St Enoch Hotel adjacent to the St Enoch railway station...built for the City of Glasgow Union railway then the Glasgow and South Western Railway until 1923 .... as a lad I took trains from here west to Renfrewshire and Ayrshire...other services went to Dumfries Stranraer and with the Midland to Carlisle Leeds St Pancras.
This was all demolished in 1977 and replaced with a shopping centre with all those railway services passing to Central Station
