Churning

There's snow in other parts of Orkney but nothing here at the moment. What there is though is a sea that look like someone has been whipping it up with a giant whisk. The waves aren't very high but there must be a lot of turmoil below the surface as there's a lot of frothy white surf on top.

I did venture forth to the veg patch earlier to dig up some carrots for a pot of soup and although it looked like a bonnie day for a walk it is bitterly cold and I was glad I had the excuse of needing to get back to my desk.
