Making Memories

Five a Day!

This is a shocking statistic...

Chapter 1 of this book, "Who's in the Driving Seat," is all about why people crash. The top ten reasons for crashes recorded are;

1. Driver failed to look properly
2. Driver failed to judge other person's path or speed
3. Driver careless, reckless or in a hurry
4. Poor turn or manoeuvre
5. Loss of control
6. Pedestrian failed to look properly
7. Slipper road (due to weather)
8. Sudden braking
9. Travelling too fast for conditions
10. Following too close

But this book is going to look into this in more depth, looking at the root causes for crashes rather than the reasons for the crash. Rather than "driver didn't look properly," looking at "why didn't the driver look properly?"

I'm thoroughly looking forward to this because the more in depth reasoning like this is what all of us need to be aware of, not just driver trainers!

Happy Days!!!
