Ida Lee
I walked this cold sunny morning with my friend Laura. We hiked around the perimeter of the land surrounding Ida Lee, our town’s rec center. Ida Lee, if I’ve got this right, was a cousin of Robert E. Lee. The town wasn’t named for him but for an ancestor of his. Actually its original name was George Town, after the king (George III?) in 1758. This pathway under the row of trees leads up to the garden plots and the library, where we spent the next couple hours writing. Laura's a picture book author.
Daughter I. left after school for a campus a couple hours south, in advance of her orchestra audition tomorrow. The remaining three of us are having a quiet evening home, so happy it’s Friday. Hope you all have a relaxing weekend.
