Tyre Track Crossroads

This is how the centre of own Muir Country Park is looking at the moment absolutely huge rutted tractor tyre tracks criss cross the woods. This is because there has been a major tree thinning programme jn order to create   space for the remaining trees to flourish. Both the tree cutting machine that I have previously blipped and the tractor which picks up the fallen timber are heavy machines with with massive wheels and tyres., so in this wet weather they have really churned up the pathways. Hopefully when they are finished there will be some levelling of the ruttted tracks as they are a bit of a pain to negotiate on foot.
