Bergenia 'Abendglut'

On another dull day, I wondered whether it was worth taking the camera out at all.
I then remembered this lovely bergenia growing in front of the house. It has been flowering all winter, although according to the plant books, it should only flower in spring.
Maybe it is something to do with the unusually mild weather?
