.....would be a good description of our back lane on bin day, it's not ALL pretty pretty at the coast y'know.....and the only reason there's not more snow/slush in evidence is that the North Sea is just beyond that (now derelict/boarded-up) pub in the distance....a bit like crisps/potato chips, our roads come 'ready salted'......
