Pacific rollers at Palm Beach

Lovely but eventful day today;
Took a trip to Palm Beach, lovely sand, views and sea.
Olly had the opportunity to use his new body board for the first time and Grandad took his first dip in the Pacific Ocean. All was going really well until the Bluebottle Jellyfish arrived. Grandad got stung a bit, but they obviously moved on to something younger and more tender as Olly got stung big time. Poor thing got stung on his hand and both legs in lots of places. Thanks to advice from the lifeguards all was soon put right and we managed to play some cricket on the beach.
Carried on with a tour of the Northern Beaches, stopping at Whale Beach and ending up at Balmoral. Unfortunately the drive home also involved someone going up the back of me in a queue of traffic, thankfully no damage done. This followed by my plan of eating at Balmoral in a restaurant that turned out to be shut on Tuesdays added to the quirkiness of the day.

All of the above said, we did have a really nice day, it just came with a number of firsts!
