Luthier at work

Gloomy, wild and windy again, so another indoor Blip. The perfect day for the People at Work challenge!

What better place to start than very close to home, in MrM's workshop. As some of you will have realised, MrM is a luthier, and makes wonderful stringed instruments - mandolins (and related instruments), guitars, and fiddles. In the photo, he's rubbing down the lacquer on a bespoke travel mandolin, made for a lady who wants an instrument that will fit in to the overhead locker on a plane. On the bench are the top and sides of another (full size) mandolin. Tools all around - it's impossible to avoid clutter in a photo taken in the workshop!
