Farmaticus

At the end of the day.

Today was the Cremation Service of Mr R,   Mr Tbays  brother. It  was always going to be a difficult day and one none of us were looking forward to it. We headed off for the crematorium at Basingstoke in horrible wet windy and quite cold weather.

The short service for family only was so emotional but beautifully taken by Tara the vicar who also buried Mr Tbays Mum and Dad. Her words were well chosen but there is not too much comfort in a death a bit too early.

When we emerged from the service with the weather even worse and it absolutely threw it as us. We ran to the cars and headed for Mr R’s home for a family get together . My role was to provide the food for our late lunch. And together with Mrs Tbay Jnr and Miss Tbay I think we nailed it.

After a few  (well quite a few !) glasses raised to Mr R we sat and enjoyed reminiscing of times long gone. For Mrs R and her two girls it was a challenging day which they met with courage and grace.

By the time we started for home the rain had stopped. MrsTbay Jnr kindly drove us home which was a long stop start trip.

Now its time for bed......
