Twite

A day of contrasts today; a wet and miserable morning was followed by a bright, sunny, blustery afternoon.  I took advantage of the sunshine to walk down to the pharmacy and pick up my prescription.  I continued along the prom to the station and noticed this little twite down in the mud beneath the prom.  It didn't seem to mind my presence and allowed me to approach down a ramp to the edge of the mud.  This is only the second time I have seen a twite and it was a joy to have a prolonged close up view of it.
