Inauguration 2013

A collage of this landmark day with inspirational speeches and songs. There was a diversity of peoples participating on one day our democracy does seem to work! I loved hearing Medgar Ever's wife give the prayer...I remember the very day her husband, civil rights worker, Medgar Evers was assassinated in his home driveway.

It was also a national holiday here---Martin Luther King Jr. Day. He fought for equal rights for all, for economic equity in the workplace, to put an end to the Vietnam war and we named our son Martin after him.
