Windfall

The rain finally stopped late in the afternoon Sunday and Oscar got a decent walk! I got another load of daffodils! Just so many snapped off in the winds, far more than from storm Ciara. A lot of the paths through the woods were running with water, and there were trees and fences down and a boat stuck under the viaduct. I later found out it had been on the slipway at the boatyard with the ballast taken out and the water just lifted it  upriver! I also developed. a new leak above the kitchen door - more for my builder to sort out! 
Monday the builder and his mate started plastering between the ceiling beams - they were just manic - not an easy job and they had to work fast before the plaster dried out.
Come the afternoon I suddenly started showing symptoms of a cold - nose dripping like a tap! This I could do without!
