Beady

This Mantis has been getting bigger and bigger. I first saw him/her when s/he was a teeny dot; now s/he's about two centimetres long.

I love how their beady bulgy eyes watch my every move, but they don't make any unnecessary movements themselves.

I gave it a wee stroke after it had posed for me. It didn't seem to mind. Yeah, I'm a bit odd like that.

I met a lovely couple in their 70s this morning. I'm photographing their wedding in a couple of weeks' time. Their love gave me real hope and a lovely warm feeling.

School work and dog walking are the other elements to my day.

Pretty good really, all things considered.
