Sue

Sue is 50 on Friday, but today was her last day of work this week so we celebrated today at the Worsley session.

I got up early to decorate the cake I made and then I decided to send a text for a shout out on Radio 2 for Sue. Rylan is standing in for Zoe Ball, I do like him, but he misread my text and it has been hilarious. He said there were two celebrations for Sue...firstly her birthday and secondly as she was leaving and how we would all miss her at the Blood Service. I’d said it was her last day in work this week, not ever lol. Anyway, they heard it in the static centre at base and texts started flitting about with everyone saying they hadn’t heard Sue was leaving. The manager was driving in to base and she heard it and phoned our manager...it was very funny. But...I’m going to send another text tomorrow to see if Rylan can rectify his mistake lol.

I went to the session early to stick up a large birthday banner I’d made and blow up balloons. Sue loved her presents and the cake went down well, thank goodness. It was a good day all round.
