Auld Tattie Digger
Woke up to a calm, sunny day. A few clouds passing over, and a light shower in the afternoon, followed by rainbows. Winds picked up tonight, and rain started.
Another day working on the museum desk. The morning started with two school group visits, and then a fairly quiet day, no wonder with the fine day. A quiet evening at home, and then off to work in the pub later.
I think the most of Shetland will be happy to finally have a break from the gales, I certainly was, and was happy to get out for a walk at lunchtime. As I walked along, this old tattie digger was looking great in the sunshine. We used to use them on the croft, not a common sight to see anymore. The old iron will take a millennium to disappear. Taken at north end of Fladdabister.
