"New" Presbyterian Church, Wentworth Street.
A great example of Neo Gothic architecture completed in 1926 to support a growing congregation whose numbers were swelled at weekends by visitors from Sydney. See yesterdays Blip of the original weatherboard church built 1901.
It's a very different story today with the numbers of this congregation in single figures and dwindling. The church at Blackheath is reportedly defunct.
