A Game of Two Halves
Tuesday's Ramblers walk started out into the face of a biting wind and a downpour and finished in bright sunshine, although it was still quite cold. It was really miserable weather at the start and it was remarkable that 24 of us had turned up given the conditions.
The leader had changed our planned route due to part of it being flooded and so we walked (trudged) instead along the Canal towpath from the Falkirk Wheel to Bonnybridge and, after a short loop around Bonnybridge followed the towpath back to the start point. By the time we rejoined the path the clouds had been replaced by mostly blue skies and our walk back was most pleasant.
This change in fortunes was repeated in the evening as Falkirk really struggled against East Fife for the first 45 minutes of our league match then improved in the second half and ran out 2-0 winners.
