Fordyce Castle. Aberdeenshire

One of the best of Aberdeenshire’s small castles and all the better for its situation right on the pavement in the village. Fordyce had four schools prior to 1880, educating many notables including the first woman graduate with first class honours from Aberdeen University- Nellie Badenoch.
