Cameraman

The weather was very unpleasant tonight - cold, blustery and landed a combination of snow & rain, some of which was settling. The sort of weather that makes one appreciate the comforts of home.

Nevertheless, I was so glad that I made the effort to go to our Camera Club members evening to see Bob who has the most amazing collection of cameras. He presented his personal journey with photography, its development, difficulties and technical progress over the years and, wow, what an interesting and insightful tale he had to tell.

Many of Bob's cameras were household rejects, often purchased in their original packaging and which cost him pennies. Bob's collection probably spans the best part of 100 years and comprises the type of camera that enjoyed its own era of popularity. Bob frequently puts several of the cameras to good use and enjoys excellent results.

That's what I call a real enthusiast.
