Beautiful Red Deer Stag.

The stag have begun shedding their antlers - they do this every year at this time, and grow a new set. The new growth is extremely rapid - about an inch a day. In my extras is a photo of a stag I saw a bit later today without both antlers. You can just see the start of the new antlers.
