Shoes and Batteries
I have an ancient Seiko watch, one of the early analogue/digital ones, which I rather fancy trying to use again. But the jewellers in Hitchin wouldn't open the watch, saying that it was probably a lithium battery and they didn't supply or fit them. But two doors down, she said, "Jamie's" was a shoe repair shop and they would be able to.
Sure enough, Jamie's was able to help, but the watch was not happy. However, the chap said that he'd have a go at cleaning it to see if it would work. It was worth a try, but I'll find out next week if it worked.
I took this of the chap doing the shoe repairs; he wasn't using that machine on my old watch.
