Nothing tiny about Old Joe
Nephew Tom took us all to the University of Birmingham's Museum today - the grands had fun searching out for ten hidden dinosaurs among all the treasures. Great fun - and very busy!
Afterwards we went for a short stroll around the campus. Old Joe, this clock tower is at 100m the tallest free standing clock tower in the world apparently. It is fondly named after the University's first Chancellor Joseph Chamberlain who was instrumental in raising the funds for it to be built.
What a difference an hour or so can make; we went into the museum in the dry and got soaked during our walkabout later! It even hailed on us!
Sister and self went to a Nursery to buy a bird feeder for son/nephew whilst he took the grands off to swim! We set it up and are watching and waiting to see what appears; we know there are some tits around and a robin!
